Caring for your Hearth & Scent candle

  • Avoid tunneling.

The first burn sets the memory of the candle-be patient and allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the glass before extinguishing

  • Keep away from drafts

To maintain a clean, even burn ensure your candle is placed on a flat surface, away from drafts

  • Trim your wicks

Trim the wick to approx. 5mm before each burn to avoid soot and mushrooming. If you don’t have wick trimmers, scissors will do just as good a job

  • Replace the lid when not in use

Leaving the lid off for long periods allows dust and debris to settle on the wax - which can create a scorched smell and leave particles floating around in your burning candle
